Magnesium Oxide - MgO

Description

Magnesium oxide (MgO) is an inorganic compound that occurs in nature as the mineral periclase.
In aqueous media combines quickly with water to form magnesium hydroxide.
It is used as an antacid and mild laxative and has many nonmedicinal uses.
The potential applications of magnesium oxide nanoparticles are as follows:
High-temperature dehydrating agent used for the production of silicon steel sheet, high-grade ceramic material, electronic industry material, adhesive and additive in the chemical raw material.
Magnesium Oxide (MgO) have been utilized in the Rubber Industry for more than 100 years. Shortly after the discovery of sulfur vulcanization in 1839, MgO and other inorganic oxides proved to accelerate the slow cure rate of sulfur used alone.
