Cationic Flocculant (for organic slurry treatment)

Description

Our cationic Aquaestrol products are used mainly as a dewatering accelerant for a wide range of organic and silty sludges.
The product greatly improves the rate of separation of water from the solids in chamber-filter presses, geosynthetic dewatering bags and belt presses..
The chemistry usually involves the flocculation of very fine to colloidal solid particles suspended in acidic pH to mildly alkaline sludge.
The mode of action of the cationic flocculant is based essentially on ion disruptions between the electrical charges along the polymer chain, which are present in aqueous solution, and the surface charges on the suspended solid particles.
The particle surfaces are destabilized, thus bringing about a combination process of coagulation and flocculation.
The typical usage rate of the cationic Aquaestrol products are between 0.5 to 5.0 kg/mt solid (depending on sludge properties and the type of dewatering equipment) applied on a continuous basis at a suitable mixing point before the separation equipment.
